Vladimir Brnardić

Vladimir Brnardić was born in 1973 in Zagreb. He graduated history in Faculty of philosophy in Zagreb in 1997 and since then he works as journalist in Documentary-historical program of Croatian television. He works as editor of TV Kalendar. Beside that he took part and realised many documentary movies with thematic from Croatian history. The articles about Croatian military history he continuosly publicate in magazine "Croatian soldier" since 1993. He is associate of "Croatian biographical lexicon" and editor of Military and military history in edition of "Croatian encyclopedia". For the publication of the works of Publie Flavie Vegetius Renat "Epitome of military sience" he wrote an introduction and index and co-worked on footnotes and glossary. In edition of British editing house Osprey in Men-at-Arms series he wrote the book "Napoleon Balkan's Troops" in 2004. In the same year he edited and wrote afterword for translation of the work of the French historian Paul Boppe "La Croatie Militaire" – "Military Croatia. Croatian Regiments in Napoleon's Great Army." At the 2009 and 2010, also for the Osprey publisher, in Men-at-Arms series, he wrote the books "Imperial Armies of the Thirty Years' War (1) Infantry and artillery" and "Imperial Armies of the Thirty Years' War (2) Cavalry". As an adviser or the author, he works on uniform creation for the Croatian historical units (Reenactors).
